DOE Invests in Expansion of Energy Workforce Training

17 assessment centers and 10 training centers were selected to receive funding.

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced this month that it will distribute $40.8 million to 17 Industrial Assessment Centers and 10 Building Training and Assessment Centers. These facilities are a key part of America’s growing clean energy economy, offering assessments for homes and buildings interested in installing clean technology and training new workforce members who can install those technologies upon request.

“America’s global leadership on advanced manufacturing and energy efficient buildings depends on our skilled, diverse workforce here at home,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. “Thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, DOE is doing even more to invest in workers and small businesses, helping us meet our clean energy goals while creating high-quality, good-paying jobs in communities across the country.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For prudence for Secretary Granholm as she promotes the development of clean energy.
  • For the president and U.S. energy officials to seek God’s direction as they pursue alternate sources of power.
  • For the heads of the training centers to utilize the funding efficiently and effectively in energy development.
